On the invitation of Anna University, Chennai, India in association with EQASA-Enhancing Quality Assurance in South Asia and co-financed by the European Commission, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liladhar Tiwari, Executive Manager, Curriculum Development Center and Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division, (QAAD), and Mr. Ramesh Khatri, Lecturer, Central Campus of Education and Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division (QAAD), Mid-Western University, Surkhet, Nepal attended a final conference of the EQASA program from February 21 to 22, 2020.
Dr. Tiwari presented a paper entitled Three Year Strategic Plan of QAA-2020 at the conference on Day 1. In his paper, he talked about the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Division (QAAD), its composition and functions. He also presented mission, visions, goals and objectives (VMGO) of QAA Division, value systems and working principles, plan of actions, organizational structures and resources in terms of personnel, finance and equipment. His presentation was followed by discussion on the paper.
Mr. Khatri presented his paper on Linkage between institutional policy and students’ learning achievement: A case study of Mid-Western University Bachelor of Business Administration Program Day 1. In his paper, he shared the best practice of MUSOM case with the participants focusing key lessons learned, key success factors, transferability. Participants raised some questions regarding the case study and the presenter responded to their queries. They also actively participated in discussion in the conference. On Day 2, there was a formal concluding meeting of EQASA project.
Participants from other partner institutions also shared their QAA best practices in the form of case studies and QAA strategic plans of their institution in the conference. The conference was very interactive and fruitful.
